Jeannot is only a name.
Shadows and lights are my tools to express my perception of animal ethics nowadays.
The idea behind my work is that animals are now just here to serve humain purposes, otherwise only harm is left for them. Everything that's natural or wild today represents a fantasy in books or pictures. In reality, it bothers. It's a reminder of our hypocrisy and cowardice.
Beyond any kind of judgment or stigma, my work is trying to illustrate that. Wether it touches its audience or not, these pictures are made, and none of them is staged.
Jeannot n'est qu'un nom.
L'ombre et la lumière me servent à transmettre ma perception de l'éthique animal d'aujourd'hui.
L'idée qui se cache derrière mon travail est que les animaux ne sont plus là que pour servir l'Homme, sinon préjudice leur sont faits. Tout ce qu'il y a de naturel et sauvage aujourd'hui représente un fantasme dans les livres ou les images. En réalité, cela dérange. C'est le rappel de notre hypocrisie, notre lâcheté.
Au delà de tout jugement, de toutes stigmatisations, mes travaux tentent d'illustrer cela. Que cela touche son audience ou non, ces images sont faites, et aucune d'entre elles n'est mises en scène.
